I love holidays but Easter has proved tricky for little ones! They can't really eat candy yet. I also don't want Easter to rival Christmas in our house- we celebrate from a religious standpoint and I don't want gifts to over shadow what we feel is most important. I also don't want to spend a small fortune.

When it comes to Easter Baskets I've kept it simple. I focus on things they need along with some fun outside items since the weather starts to get nicer.

We didn't do all of these things but I feel like any combination from this list would be great!

Babies
  1. Easter basket- we use the same basket every year so the first Easter the basket is part of the gift
  2. Training tooth brush
  3. Fluoride free toothpaste
  4. Reusable swim diaper
  5. New bathing suit
  6. New sun hat
  7. Sunscreen
  8. Indestructibles books- a perennial favorite in our home!

  9. teething toys

Toddlers
  1.  Toothpaste and toothbrush. I actually got a great deal after Christmas on a Lightning McQueen set for my toddler. I figure if they are going to get candy they will need to brush!

  2. New bathing suit

  3. New sun hat
  4. Sunscreen
  5. Sidewalk chalk
  6. Bubbles and/or bubble machine
  7. Schleich animals and dinosaurs - these can  be pricey so I keep a lookout for good prices and buy ahead when I catch a deal
  8. Rainboots
  9. books
  10. DVDs
  11.
I'm curious to hear what everyone else does for little ones that can't have candy yet. Let me know in the comments!
